"One purpose of boot camp is the transformation of your personal character.  Not
only will you be transformed into a soldier ready for warfare, you will also be
transformed in your inner man.

In boot camp, you will gain confidence in yourself. Confidence comes as you
learn who you are in Christ.  Confidence comes when you walk out of the shame of
your youth.  Many are being held back from going on in God because they feel
great shame and guilt about the sins of their past.  They think God cannot and will
not use them because of their past sins.

2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old
things passed away; behold, new things have come.

The first thing we must learn is that we are new creatures in Christ. When we
received Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our old being passed away and the new
creature came.  You are brand new in Christ.  The old man has died, and the new
has come. "

and

"Jesus came to make us new creatures so that the shame of our youth could be
forgotten.  He
NEVER meant for you to carry it!  He has always meant to take it
from you and relieve you of its burden.  Lay down the shame of your youth and
accept that it is dead according to the Word of God. Leave it behind!  Put on your
new man created in Christ Jesus by faith and belief. The shame of your youth is a
hindrance and barrier impeding you from going on in God and fulfilling your call in
Him. You will be able to fulfill your call in God as you lay the shame aside, because
it will no longer be able to hinder you from being all God calls you to be.  Lay it
down!  Call it dead as God calls it dead in Christ!  Be renewed in your mind with the
true knowledge of who you are in Christ.  Be renewed in your mind that in Christ,
you have become a new creature, and the old man and his deeds are dead and
done away with."
