"Commissioned soldiers of the army of God who are now P.O.W. have been
taken captive by the enemy.  The enemy has taken these warriors captive to make
them of no effect against him and against his kingdom on the earth.  When the
warriors of God’s army have withstood all that Satan has sent against them to
cause them to become M.I.A., the enemy’s next move is to take these soldiers
captive.  If the enemy can’t make you A.W.O.L or M.I.A. from God’s army, his next
plan of attack against you is to take you captive, to make you a prisoner of war.  In
this chapter, we will study the attack of the enemy against us as commissioned
soldiers to take us captive and bring us into a P.O.W. position.

I want to begin this chapter with a word of encouragement from the Lord to all
His soldiers who are now in a state of being P.O.W.  Your God has not turned His
back on you!  He has not despised or abandoned you!  God’s own Word says He
has not done these things.

Psalm 69: 33 For the LORD hears the needy, and does not despise His who are
prisoners

Your God does not despise you, Prisoner of War.  He, in fact, says that He hears
you.  I believe God is very actively involved on your behalf, working for your
deliverance and return to your position in His army.  The enemy would tell you that
you are despised by our God, but that is a lie!  The enemy is a liar and always has
been a liar.  God Himself in His Word tells you that He does not despise you.  You
can return to your God and be restored.  God longs for your return and is ready
and willing to welcome you home.  Let’s look at the parable of the prodigal son to
see how our God desires to welcome you and return you to your position in His
army."
