Chapter 12 Fruit of the Holy Spirit

"The spiritual weapons given by the Holy Spirit would not be complete without
discussing the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has taught me that if I can
generate in myself this fruit then it is my fruit. The Holy Spirit manifests His fruit
in our lives. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is not generated by me or by anything I
can do. It is His fruit and not mine. It is His fruit manifested through me. The
Holy Spirit has taught me to ask Him for the fruit that I need manifest in me, be it
patience, self-control, or love, and He will pour His fruit forth through me.
Again, if I manifest fruit in my own effort, it is my fruit and not fruit of the Holy
Spirit. It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit when He gives it freely and manifests His
fruit through us. It is called “fruit of the Holy Spirit” and not the “fruit of your trial”
or the “fruit of your self-effort.” So many times, we are trying to generate this
fruit in ourselves and then find ourselves doing the very thing we hate! Ask the
Holy Spirit for His fruit and let Him manifest it in you! It truly is a free gift from
Him. You don’t have to earn it or work it up in yourself. It is the Holy Spirit’s fruit
that He manifests through the believers in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit gets all
the glory for His fruit manifest in you. If it’s my fruit generated from my self-
effort, then I get the credit and the glory. Receive the free gift of the
manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit through you. It is yours for the asking!"

"I want you to see the fruit of the Holy Spirit as a weapon of warfare. We use this
spiritual weapon to defeat the attack of the enemy in our personal lives. The
fruit of the Spirit are weapons of warfare in our personal lives as the fruit of the
Spirit overcomes the deeds and desires of our flesh!
I want you to see the fruit of the Holy Spirit as a weapon of warfare as we use
this weapon to defeat the attack of the enemy in the lives of others. The fruit of
the Spirit are weapons of warfare in the lives of others when we love the
unlovable or when we are patient with the angry and the frustrated. It is a
weapon of warfare as we use this Holy Spirit fruit to deal with others daily."
